Garrison Facilities for Hire
There are a wide range of facilities available within Aldershot Garrison that can be booked for use by units, groups and individuals. The rules covering the booking and use of facilities vary greatly depending on a number of factors.
As a general rule:
1. All events that are not purely military or which involve third parties (for example entertainers, food outlets etc) who are not military, will require some kind of licensing from ASPIRE who manage the Aldershot Garrison estate for the MoD.
2. Any activity that is a business or for which the organiser receives benefits (for example fitness classes) will require a license, third party liability insurance and risk assessments.
3. All events will require some form of public liability insurance, to a maximum of Åí5 million, and probably other insurances as well.
4. Risk assessments will also be required for events and individual elements within events (such as bouncy castles, slides etc) before events are licensed.
5. A booking form will need to be completed for all events using the Garrison estate.
The process to acquire a license is not a difficult one and Garrison HQ can make it as painless as possible provided it knows about an event in good time. For more information or to start the process for a license please contact:
