WRVS Services Welfare
Mission
WRVS Services Welfare Officers, funded by the Ministry of Defence, work in partnership with the Army to provide emotional and practical support to single and unaccompanied Service personnel. They work with the Commanding Officer to help maintain morale, provide on-site recreation clubs and offer a listening and sympathetic ear when needed.


Service Welfare Officers:
• Can give confidential, non-military support to single Service personnel
• Manage recreational areas with leisure facilities, providing a relaxing, alcohol free environment
• Help new recruits adjust to their new way of life
• Participate in inducting new recruits
• Support the chain of command with issues such as morale and retention
• Visit service personnel who are confined to camp because of duty or hospitalisation
• Occasionally accompany the unit on operational tours to help morale under difficult circumstances

Opening Hours:
Monday to Friday 1000-1000 hrs
Saturday and Sunday 1600-2200 hrs
